Wall decals are a great alternative to wallpaper as they don’t damage your walls when they’re removed and you can change them the moment you get tired of your handiwork with little effort. While there are a lot of wall decals out there, it’s harder to find simple modular shapes that can create modern patterns like the Removable Wall Patterns from the Salt Lake City-based MUR. Currently the company sells triangles (hooray!) in a small and large size, each available in eight colors.

This futuristic-looking bladeless laminar vortex cyclonic homogenizing ceiling fan is looking for funding on Indiegogo, and is based on designs by Tesla. Fans with blades attempt to mix air and create indoor breezes by violently beating air into submission. The Exhale fan takes a different approach: a stack of rapidly spinning discs sucks up air and then flings it out to the sides utilizing a phenomenon called laminar flow. "It utilizes the science of laminar flow between an array of flat disks to efficiently move air throughout your environment. This laminar movement creates a smooth uninterrupted airflow with virtually no noise." This evenly mixes air through an entire room as opposed to just directly beneath it.

We’ve featured wall decals before but never ones that are from high-resolution photographs. These Wallflower wall stickers are from high-quality photos that are enlarged to enormous proportions and are a great alternative to wallpaper. They’re super durable and won’t rip or fade, and go right on your walls like any self-adhesive decal.
You can easily remove them and place them somewhere else, and do it over and over again. The adhesive lets you re-apply them hundreds of times so if you’re a renter or completely indecisive, these are made for you.

This hidden bookcase turned your home into a stealthy secret lair. The hidden bookcase folds in half by sliding on steel tracks embedded in the floor and built into the header panel, both of which are completely hidden when the bookcase is in its normal unfolded position. Fill the thing up with books, and nobody will know this secret book. It is available now for $3000.

David Garcia Studio is an experimental architectural platform. The Studio’s work focuses on extreme environments and it spans through various scales, aiming to challenge the status-quo through inventiveness and a constant collaboration with pure and applied sciences. We truly believe that what exists is only a small part of what is possible, and we design driven by this principle. Showcased here is David Garcia Studio’s Circular Book Library.

Borja García designed the Llar fireplace collection for Gandia Blasco. He says, “We wanted to work on a product that would transfer concepts more akin to inside a house, like siting round the fire, to the outdoor space and Llar is a response to this idea. It has a purely architectural look, with the product’s proportions and composition conveying the solid feel and presence so typical of the modern trend, in which fire is treated as one of the basic architectural features of the house.”
